The weaker I get the stronger He becomes...
2 Corinthians 12:7-10 (The Message Paraphrase) "Because of the extravagance of those revelations, and so I wouldn't get a big head, I was given the gift of a handicap to keep me in constant touch with my limitations. Satan's angel did his best to get me down; what he in fact did was push me to my knees. No danger then of walking around high and mighty! At first I didn't think of it as a gift, and begged God to remove it. Three times I did that, and then he told me,
My grace is enough; it's all you need. My strength comes into its own in your weakness.
Once I heard that, I was glad to let it happen. I quit focusing on the handicap and began appreciating the gift. It was a case of Christ's strength moving in on my weakness. Now I take limitations in stride, and with good cheer, these limitations that cut me down to size—abuse, accidents, opposition, bad breaks. I just let Christ take over! And so the weaker I get, the stronger I become."
Wow! When you begin to get the big picture about life your perspective changes drastically! If every time you struggled or felt overwhelmed you to immediately viewed it as an opportunity for Christ to move in on your life in a new & deeper way would you resist it or embrace it? God's promise is that His grace is ENOUGH! Enough for every battle, enough for every difficult moment, enough for ALL circumstances.
Jesus death on the cross accomplished so much more than we often realize. It's because of His sacrifice that we can TRUST God for His GRACE to be enough. What I encourage you to do is to take whatever it is you are battling. The hurt, the pain, the battle & give it away to the One who died to set you free. The burden wasn't meant for you to carry but more of an opportunity for Christ to show himself in your life. I thank God for the struggles because it drove me to seek Him in a way that I wouldn't have if my life had been all roses. I've found a love greater than life itself, I've found a hope stronger & nothing compares. I once was lost but now I'm alive in HIM & I'm never turning back…..Praying that you will join me in a life lost in Jesus!
Much love,
Katie
